This Saturday, Sydney flashes its creative streak with the Hopscotch Surry Hills Film Festival.

Now in its 3rd year, the city’s most eclectic collection of short films gives you two opportunities for a peek;

Saturday 20th May, 1-4pm at the Gaelic Theatre, 64 Devonshire St. Surry Hills 

When the only restriction on entries is a short time frame, the results have to be seen to be believed. This aint no Tropfest. And not just because we accept any type of film - we also judge them purely on the basis of creativity.

Our major sponsor is Hopscotch films, which makes us a bit like a martial arts tournament sponsored by Bruce Lee.

Also, the headcount from the largest group shot (which still cropped a few people at the sides and hid some right up the back) is 180 zombies and I know that not all of the zombies made it to the stairs so the “official” number is sitting at 200 participants.

Well here we are, Zombie Lurch was fantastic and the day went off (almost) without a hitch.

I want to thank everyone for putting in so much effort with costuming and spreading the word. You were a fantastically gory group and I’m looking forward to doing it again.
